Internet Scalability

The Inter-Domain Routing Problem
The Inter-DOmain Routing Allows the exchange of data between peers along the best path that possibly crosses several transit provider domains and fulfils the routing policies of each domain independent of its network topology.
Multihoming: The AS’s network can be accessed through any of the transit providers if the path is broken.
The reachability requires CPU and memory due to large routing tables, that are growing too fast. The depletion of IPv4 address pool is another cause.
Representative Solutions
Clean-Slate Architectures: NNC: the problems are Content Availability, Security, Content location dependence, Wrong abstraction for obtaining content, Proposed change for the communication
abstraction, Evolve from the old ‘server-client’ model.
Is propouse to Communication built on named data
